School Break Camp Counselor

About the role

Midtown is looking for a School Break Camp Counselor to add to our world-class team. Specifically looking for candidates to work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm for both Winter Break- Feb. 15-19, 2027 and Spring Break- March 22-26, 2027. With the possibility of staying on as a Midtown Summer Camp Counselor for the Summer season.

Responsibilities

• Inspire young members through movement, community, and personal attention.
• Encourage active, social, and healthier lives by leading children through organized events, activities, and sports.
• Act as a positive role model.
• Communicate with parents before and after sessions.
• Operate under pressure while ensuring participant safety at all times.
• Coordinate and develop exciting youth programs.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a teacher, camp counselor, or day care worker.
• Area of youth programming expertise (athletic, creative, or academic).
• Outstanding verbal communication skills with children and adults.
• High energy levels and ability to keep children moving in a variety of activities.
• Patience, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
• Current certification in lifeguarding and/or water safety instruction.
• Highly organized, energetic, and able to multitask.

Pay

Counselor pay rate is $16.50/Hour.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm for both Winter Break (Feb. 15-19, 2027) and Spring Break (March 22-26, 2027), with the possibility of staying on as a Midtown Summer Camp Counselor for the summer season.
