School Based Primary Therapist - Willowbrooke (Days)

About the Role

As a School-Based Therapist, you will provide individual, group, and family sessions to students on a designated campus, in the community, homes, clinic, and via telehealth. You will work alongside school counselors, social workers, administrators, and families to proactively meet students in need and help them find mental health resources in their communities.

Education

Master's Degree in counseling or a related field plus at least one year of training in a specialty resulting in certification.

Experience

Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Licensed Master Social Worker
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
• Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Substance abuse counselors must have a Master's degree in a related field and the Master's Addiction Counselor credential (MAC) and/or be a certified addiction counselor supervisor.

• Ability to concentrate on tasks in high-traffic areas
• Ability to manage crises and potentially combative patients while maintaining professionalism and emotional control
• Strong empathy and ability to relate to people
• Commitment to maintaining highly confidential information
• Able to meet deadlines
• Assessment and intervention skills
• Basic data entry skills; preference for basic computer proficiency
• Familiarity with clinical terminology and the continuum of care
• Knowledge of DSM IV diagnostic criteria
• Legible handwriting
• Persuasive manner and skills in overcoming denial and resistance to treatment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• If recovering from alcohol or drug addiction, must be clean and sober for 2 years

Employee will obtain initial CPR and SCIPP certification within 90 days of employment and maintain certification as required.
