Sign-on bonuses for external hires: $10,000 for LPC, LCSW, LMFT; $5,000 for LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, NCC; $2,500 for Master's level (no license).

About the role

Provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) treatment for patients with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders and their families. Treatment includes assessment, individual therapy, family/couples therapy, group therapy, crisis assessment, and intervention. The direction of treatment and extent of contact are determined by the treatment plan developed collaboratively with the patient and/or family. Therapists use their clinical individuality while working effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and families.
• Deliver DBT therapy via individual, family/couples, and group therapy modalities.
• Provide crisis assessment and intervention.
• Use evidence-based practices to assist patients in achieving identified goals.
• Teach and model symptom management, communication, and social skills.
• Assess needs, strengths, abilities, and preferences to develop appropriate clinical interventions.
• Maintain confidentiality and organize work to meet deadlines.
• Navigate the electronic medical record system.
• Exercise duty of care, particularly for individuals in recovery or experiencing relapse.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
• License-eligible (must obtain license within 18 months of employment).
• Willingness to train in and use DBT as the primary treatment modality for all populations (training provided).
• No prior work experience required.
• Obtain and maintain Healthcare Provider (CPR) and Safe Crisis Intervention for Patients and Professionals (SCIPP) certification within 90 days of employment.
• Minimum of two years away from clinical duties after acknowledging a problem or relapse, along with treatment completion, if applicable.
