About the Department

Same-day or outpatient surgery offers a convenient, lower-cost option for patients undergoing minor surgery or surgeries that do not require an overnight stay. All outpatient surgeries are performed in a state-of-the-art facility by a staff of highly trained physicians, surgeons, nurses and other medical professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules cases for Same Day Surgery
  • Enters patient billable charges into the charge master
  • Reconciles and verifies patient charges for all cases
  • Collections and organizes daily schedules
  • Collections, prints and distributes monthly reports
  • Collaborates with doctors/office personnel to acquire accurate information for scheduling of cases and needed equipment
  • Enters SDS schedule into Meditech
  • Prints schedule sheets and delivers to admissions
  • Reports block releases to Director
  • Performs secretarial duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Training & Experience: Minimum of 2 years secretarial experience
  • Medical terminology and computer knowledge required
  • Successful completion of BLS certification

Job Knowledge

This position is located in Montrose, Colorado.

Pay

Mandated minimum wage is $18.00/hour.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
