Job Overview

Performs clerical duties, including interpreting scheduling requests, scheduling appointments and/or tests, and maintaining medical records for participants, both internally and externally with many different providers and areas of specialty. Coordinates scheduling of participants within multiple departments internally including nursing, transportation and therapy at three different sites. Assists in coordinating participants flow concerning appointments and/or tests. Performs medical procedures on adults and children as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs all responsibilities related to scheduling participants for specialist and routine appointments both internally and externally with many different providers and areas of specialty.
  • Captures and maintains medical records for participants.
  • Coordinates scheduling of participants within multiple departments internally including nursing, transportation and therapy at three different sites.
  • Follows all scheduling procedures and completes scheduling paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Communicates appropriately with customers, transportation and other departments.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills and appropriate judgement related to phone and in-person interactions.
  • Answers phone calls promptly and courteously pertaining to setting up appointments.
  • Relays accurate and complete messages to the appropriate person.
  • Ensures all medical records are retrieved from outside providers and forwarded to the medical records department for scanning purposes.
  • Exhibits professional image and behavior toward patients, visitors, physicians and employees and creates a positive impression consistent with professional etiquette.
  • Assists with medical procedures on adults and children.
  • Exhibits flexibility and/or initiative in seeking or accepting additional assignments, and a willingness to learn.
  • Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the treatment area.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of clean and sterile procedures in the use of medical equipment.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High School Degree in Healthcare Clerical background with general computer skills and Knowledge in medical terminology
  • EKG Injections Venipuncture Performance of common lab tests according to establish CLIA guidelines and TriHealth policy
  • Experience in medical/physician office setting

Location & Schedule

Location: 10496 Montgomery Rd.
Schedule: Full time day shift Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays
