Scheduling Coordinator, Ambulatory Surgical

The Scheduling Coordinator in the Ambulatory Surgical Unit will handle all aspects of scheduling, including OR time with proper procedure listings, maintaining employee calendars, scheduling call sign-ups, and answering scheduling calls from staff and offices. This role requires working rotating day, evening, and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of scheduling, including OR time with proper procedure listings
• Maintain employee calendars and schedule call sign-ups as needed
• Answer all scheduling calls from staff and offices

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education with knowledge of standard office equipment
• Computer and word processing knowledge and experience
• Two years of surgical care experience preferred

Qualifications

• Above average organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and mathematical calculations
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• Competent to successfully interact with physicians, offices, and staff according to the special needs of patients served
