About the role
Scheduling Coordinator will handle all aspects of scheduling to include OR time with proper procedure listed. Scheduling Coordinators are responsible for working rotating day, evening, and weekend hours. The role includes maintaining employee calendars, scheduling call sign-ups as needed, and answering all scheduling calls from staff and offices.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of surgical scheduling, including OR time with proper procedure documentation
- Maintain employee calendars and schedule call sign-ups
- Answer scheduling calls from staff and offices
- Work rotating day, evening, and weekend shifts
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent education with knowledge of standard office equipment
- Computer and word processing knowledge and experience
- Two years of surgical care experience preferred
Qualifications
- Above average organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and mathematical calculations
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
- Competent to successfully interact with physicians, offices, and staff according to patient age-specific needs
