About the Role
The scheduler is responsible for maintaining continuity and ensuring clinical staff have the appropriate workload/schedule. This role involves receiving and scheduling new referrals and visits based on factors like patient acuity, diagnosis, and required skills. The scheduler audits and approves time and attendance for direct patient care teams, assists managers and directors with biweekly scheduling and onboarding, and handles calls from patients to assess urgency for clinical intervention. This position significantly impacts the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain continuity and ensure appropriate workload/schedule for clinical staff
- Receive and schedule new referrals and visits based on patient acuity, diagnosis, and required skills
- Audit and approve time and attendance for direct patient care teams
- Assist managers and directors with biweekly scheduling, onboarding, and day-to-day staff scheduling operations
- Handle calls from patients to assess urgency for clinical intervention
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree preferred)
- Three (3) years of office experience
- Previous experience in payroll processing and staff scheduling (preferred)
- Previous Kronos experience (preferred)
- Previous scheduling experience (preferred)
- Previous experience in the Health Care Field (preferred)
