Patient Coordination
- Schedules patients from a variety of sources and maintains schedules.
- Maintains schedules including MD Scheduling changes, schedule setup and validation.
- Ensures the timely and complete compilation of all patients medical record information, results from various screening and diagnostic tests and exams (e.g., pathology, radiology) surgical reports, etc.
General Clerical Support
- Performs general clerical functions to ensure accurate, prompt and effective scheduling.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Associate's degree or training/certification in clinical setting preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an outpatient setting, required.
- Experience with telephone reception and scheduling preferred.
- Working knowledge of Epic preferred.
- Working knowledge of the patient scheduling process, excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to understand and independently follow established protocols regarding triage of patient schedules.
- Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving tactics required.
