Scheduler III

About the Role

Schedulers develop and manage schedules for projects supporting manufacturing, program, and engineering teams. They assist project managers with schedule planning, task coordination, and timeline monitoring, while identifying potential delays and facilitating remedial actions.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project schedules using the Statement of Work (SOW) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in Microsoft Project 2010/2013 and the company scheduling guide.
• Work with sub-contractors and project teams to track and report project progress.
• Perform schedule analysis using Critical Path Method and Critical Chain Method.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis using quantitative and qualitative techniques.
• Provide Project Management Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and/or IMS Metrics updates as required.
• Support the Project Manager during all Government reviews and meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Advanced computer skills, specifically using Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and isolate pertinent information.
• Ability to enter data accurately into databases and read/interpet documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with all levels of management and staff, including in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to use general office equipment (fax, phone, copier, etc.) and follow processes.
• Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service, and follow-up.
• Ability to evaluate data, make decisions with limited information, and communicate issues to management and regulatory agencies.
• Basic understanding of algebra and statistical functions, with the ability to perform intermediate mathematical computations.
• Working knowledge of risk management as it relates to Earned Value Management (EVM) schedules, including experience with risk management software for schedule risk assessment (SRA).
• Ability to assist with company-wide EVM training and multitask efficiently.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with at least 5 years of task-related experience, or high school diploma with at least 6 years of task-related experience, or high school diploma with at least 2 years of EVM experience.
• Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to maintain multiple, interrelated project schedules simultaneously.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
• Working knowledge of EVM Practices and Procedures, including IMS reporting requirements, is preferred.
• Working knowledge of the DCMA 14-point Assessment criteria and the ability to analyze data output to improve schedule health is preferred.
• Complete understanding of the Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) DI-MGMT-81861 is preferred.
• DAU certification in Fundamentals of EVM and Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management is preferred.
