Responsibilities
- Aid in patient scheduling for office visits and procedures.
- Triage incoming calls for medical staff.
- Review patient visit notes and identify problems, diagnoses, and physician orders.
- Assist with patient registration and financial transactions.
- Schedule radiology and lab appointments.
- Handle recall scheduling as needed.
- Check-in and check-out patients during their visits.
- Collect patient payments and reconcile daily.
- File records and prepare patient charts in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Scan documents into patient charts in the EMR.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience working in a medical office.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented.
- Basic understanding of healthcare plans.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
Requirements
- Leadership qualities and ability to mentor/train new hires.
- Performance and disciplinary action free from the previous year.
- Subject-matter expertise in relevant areas among peers, management, and physicians.
