Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner.
• Answer incoming calls and direct calls to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff.
• Schedule outpatient appointments, referrals, testing, hospital surgeries, and hospital admissions upon request.
• Obtain necessary pre-certification as required.
• Schedule return appointments in the computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines.
• Cancel/reschedule appointments according to physician schedule changes and in accordance with office guidelines; notify appropriate clinic personnel.
• Handle new patient referrals, gather necessary information, register new patients in the computer, and schedule appointments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
• Three years of office experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience.

Pay

$22.33 - $31.27 per hour, depending on experience.
