Get to know your team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital featuring a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• Arrange appointments for surgical and non-surgical procedures along with pre-surgical testing for various specialties.
• Schedule surgeries and procedures for all specialties.
• Coordinate all required testing and procedures.
• Ensure all required pre-testing, patient information, and consents have been obtained and are on-site before the patient’s admission to the hospital.
• Demonstrate good judgment in scheduling procedures to meet patient needs and increase physician productivity.
• Act as a liaison with patients, referrals, general practitioners, healthcare professionals, and patients’ family members in a compassionate and kind manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Understanding and use of Electronic Health Record (EMR).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and attention to detail.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Associate’s degree.
• Certified Scheduling Technician (CST).
• 1+ years’ experience in a hospital or physician practice setting.

Pay

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
