About the role
The Scheduler plays a key role in supporting our care team and ensuring residents receive consistent, reliable service. This position requires strong organization, communication, and teamwork. The Scheduler helps strengthen our culture of excellence by supporting staffing stability—contributing to resident satisfaction, family trust, and overall community success.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain schedules for Resident Care staff, ensuring appropriate coverage for all shifts.
- Ensure staffing levels meet resident needs and comply with all applicable staffing requirements, policies, and procedures
- Communicate scheduling changes clearly and promptly to staff and leadership, including call-outs, shift swaps, and urgent coverage needs
- Manage and respond to staffing call-outs, including after-hours/on-call scheduling responsibilities as assigned
- Cookordinate shift coverage by contacting available team members and filling open shifts in a timely and professional manner
- Work closely with the Resident Care Director, Executive Director, and department leaders to ensure schedules align with resident care needs and community priorities
- Assist with onboarding coordination for new hires by adding them to schedules and ensuring training shifts are properly assigned
- Support fair and consistent scheduling practices while balancing staff availability, skills, and business needs
- Maintain scheduling systems and documentation with accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong customer service by supporting the care team and helping ensure residents and families experience consistent, dependable care
- Promote a culture of collective ownership by proactively identifying staffing gaps and doing whatever it takes to support the team and community

- Scheduling experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Must be a team player who supports a culture of collective ownership
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health experience is a plus
