Desired Experience
Proficient P6 Scheduler with the ability to manipulate, crunch, and evaluate data coming out of the schedule, and report. Report writing is very important.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience in the management and control of large, complex utility capital projects
- Knowledge of cost information and blending that into the schedule
- Good Communication and Writing skills
Minimum Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management (or related field)
- OR 6 years equivalent/related work experience (in addition to the Minimum Experience requirement) in lieu of a degree
Minimum Experience Required of the Position
- 4 years minimum capital project management and/or project control experience with project controls focus. Utility capital project experience is essential.
HIGHLY Desired
- 5 years of experience in capital project management and/or project controls.
Desired
- Project controls experience on large scale capital projects.
- Experience of project controls implemented on projects executed under various types of contract agreements including EPC. Both contractor and owner construction project controls experience.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required of the Position
- Ability to work well in team environment, be a self-starter, and have a strong work ethic.
- Able to create project and portfolio performance metrics using standardized project dashboards and reports.
- Utilize schedule software such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, Acumen Fuse, Risk Analysis.
- Assists in the performance of analysis, optimization, and reporting on project(s) including assessments of risk, cost, and schedule associated with completing planned scopes of work according to multi-year budget plans.
- Utilizes project management and project controls expertise as well as business acumen and experience to provide SME-level project management, controls, and business case guidance to project team members across business units.
- Demonstrable experience in working on construction sites, engineering offices, fabrication sites, etc. to support project teams.
- Demonstrates experience in working with EPC Contracts.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills.
- Cost, Schedule, Reporting Change Management, Contract Management and Risk Management Skills.
Preferred
- Certifications from PMI and/or AACEi
