Responsibilities
- Maintains compliance with contract specifications and Gilbane's Baseline Operations Playbook
- Aids project personnel in creating phasing/logistics plans
- Prepares CPM scenarios for management and incorporates final approaches into complete schedules
- Evaluates schedules prepared by others and provides recommendations on completeness, accuracy, and project status
- Communicates with Owners to ensure customer satisfaction or implements corrective actions when necessary
- Performs schedule and delay analyses and presents recovery recommendations to management
- Monitors project teams for risks related to schedule and delays
- Notifies management of concerns regarding contract notices, delays, and proper documentation of project schedules
- Participates in project pursuits and prepares fee proposals, RFP responses, and presentation content
- Accurately documents schedule bases in narratives, identifying critical assumptions, GMPs, and Owner documentation
- Counsels and mentors less experienced scheduling and project team employees in administrative tasks related to scheduling
- Trains others and makes presentations regarding CPM methods and concepts
- Conducts monthly schedule project audits
- Trains Project Managers and Superintendents on scheduling and using scheduling software
- Produces project schedule narratives before submission to Owners on a monthly basis
- Supports regular jobsite walks with the project team
- Serves as a resource for project team members in scheduling and project management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 1-12 years relevant construction scheduling experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Thorough understanding of scheduling principles and methodologies, including Critical Path Method, Last Planner, etc.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Lean Construction Techniques
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in document control and office software such as Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office
- Experience with scheduling software, including Primavera, Microsoft Project, Touchplan, Hoylu, Netpoint, etc.
- Ability to maintain a self-sufficient and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay
To be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For Maryland, the salary range is $90,000.00 - $175,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
