About the role

The Scheduler coordinates appointments for employees, customers, or patients. Duties include planning weekly schedules, determining appointment lengths, and making phone calls to patients or customers regarding their appointment times.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and e-mails, greet patients and prospective patients, and remind them of upcoming appointments
• Schedule appointments for patient consultations, procedures, and visits with medical personnel
• Liaise and coordinate with health care professionals about schedules, patients, and any changes
• Accept and submit insurance claims and payments, as well as perform billing duties
• Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• 2 years of working experience in the medical field or customer service
• Healthcare experience a plus
• Knowledge of insurance requirements and medical terminology preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years scheduling experience
• Experience with ECW strongly preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) is a plus but not required
• Superb communication skills (written, oral, and listening)
• Must be able to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude
