Scheduler
About the role
As our Scheduler, you will orchestrate a seamless and efficient care process for patients and providers by coordinating appointments and managing schedules. Every day you will schedule patient appointments and coordinate multiple provider schedules for medical procedures, tests, and studies. You'll ensure timely scheduling through effective communication, accurately gather and verify patient insurance and documentation, process reports, and provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone and in-clinic assistance.
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate multiple provider schedules for medical procedures, tests, and studies
- Receive incoming telephone calls from physician offices, patients, or patient walk-ins and schedule the requested outpatient test(s)
- Collect demographic, clinical, and financial information, including patient’s name, date of birth, ordering physician, ordered test(s), diagnosis, telephone number(s), and payment mode(s)
- Assess the proper amount of time required for the ordered test(s) and place the test(s) on the various department schedules
- Inform the physician office or patient of their testing schedule, including time and location of each test, and any special instructions for preparation
- Receive physician orders for future scheduled events, verify accuracy of order, and document receipt of order
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two (2) years of related PAS work experience
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and excellent communication and reasoning skills to manage scheduling complexities and patient inquiries, always striving for accuracy and efficiency.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $16.42 - $23.19 /hour
