Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain schedules for Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.s) and Nurses (RNs and LPNs)
- Complete holiday and weekend schedules for the nursing staff
- Aid in ensuring missed punch forms are completed
- Maintain absence log for nursing staff
- Promote equity and fairness in the scheduling process
- Assist in reducing overtime in the nursing department
- Hire new C.N.A.s and Nurses on an as-needed basis
- Maintain accurate time records for the nursing department
Qualifications
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- Previous scheduling experience preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Resourceful, tactful, and proactive in dealing with issues
Physical Demands
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencies
