About the role
The Scheduler position supports the business from multiple locations and across various functions, focusing on effective service delivery to clients and managing Direct Support Professional (DSP) schedules.
Responsibilities
- Guiding and directing DSP schedules to ensure optimal service delivery to clients.
- Assigning appropriate staff to clients and scheduling client services.
- Identifying and addressing problem situations, assisting in problem-solving to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborating with DSPs and clients to coordinate in-home support services.
- Attending staff meetings with the Branch Manager and other staff members.
- Communicating with management about special situations, changes in client conditions, and disciplinary actions against staff.
- Maintaining data integrity for all assigned tasks, including templates, valid authorizations, time and attendance records.
- Assuming on-call responsibilities and providing client care in the absence of adequate staffing.
- Maintaining compliance with agency policies, procedures, and legal requirements for home care services.
- Submitting proper timekeeping and paperwork as required.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and handle confidential information.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and insurance.
- At least two years of general office and computer experience.
- Solid experience working with the public, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
