We are seeking a full-time experienced Scheduler to join our Bridgeport Care Center. Located in the largest gastroenterology practice in Connecticut, we offer competitive pay, a fast-growing practice, and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team.
What You Will Do For Us
- Provide remarkable patient experience by scheduling procedure and office visit appointments following CTGI policy and scripting.
- Show attention to detail by updating insurance and demographic information when scheduling appointments and procedures, obtaining cardiac clearance for patients scheduled for procedures where warranted, and following up on procedure to ensure ASC has documentation.
- Act as a team player by assisting with any general office functions at the request of site supervisors or managers and lending support to other CTGI staff members to ensure proper patient care and smooth functioning of the office.
- Show versatility by properly answering incoming phone lines, taking clear, concise messages, composing, processing, and following up on electronic phone messages and alerts, and routing messages to correct provider or employee.
- Maintain expertise by maintaining familiarity with providers preferred prep.
What We Are Looking For In You
- Spanish speaking required*
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Experience with an EMR system is ideal, Epic experience is a plus
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills are required
- Experience working in a medical office
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented
- Basic understanding of healthcare plans
- Bilingual is a plus
Requirements For Level I Status
- Entry level (1-4 years experience) and/or meet the basic requirements of the job with the need for additional supervision.
- Excess of 4 years experience if meeting only the basic requirements of the job with need for additional supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient technical (computer) skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Self-motivated with initiative
- Strong sense of ethics

Schedule
Monday: 10:00am – 6:30pm
Tuesday: 9:30am - 6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am - 6:30pm
Friday: 9:00am - 3:00pm
