Schedule Specialist- Home Health

About the role

Assured Home Health, a part of LHC Group and member of the Optum family, is seeking a Scheduling Specialist. The role involves managing patient referrals and visit schedules, assigning patient assessments and other visits as ordered by physicians using an online scheduling system, and collaborating with the Team Leader to match clinicians with appropriate experience and skill sets to patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize an automated scheduling system to maintain a calendar of services for both episodic and per‑visit customers.
• Process workflow for requested, scheduled, missed, rescheduled, reassigned, declined, and delivered visits.
• Monitor pending referrals daily and assign licensed professionals and case managers for all start‑of‑care visits.
• Communicate daily with field staff regarding any visits that are late, pending, or incomplete, and work toward resolution.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader to identify clinicians with the appropriate experience and skill set to match patient needs.

Qualifications

• Required: High school education or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: 1+ years of scheduling experience in a health‑care setting using an online scheduling system.
• Exceptional organizational, customer service, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Working knowledge of state and federal regulations governing OASIS visits, supervisory, and reassessment visits.

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $17.65 to $26.45 per hour based on full‑time employment, local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors. The company complies with all applicable minimum wage laws.
