This technician will provide high level support for MK-53, MK-59 and LEED. Job Description Support engineering activities such as design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electronic and mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. . Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data. Prepares engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.). Performs mathematical calculations per engineering specifications. Undertakes analysis of data where guidelines are provided. Job duties include the ability to Troubleshooting and repair of on-site and shipboard assets/systems.Shipboard installations, test events and sea trails.Provide a high level of Fleet Support, spanning testing, modernization, maintenance, and decommissioning.Perform CSSQT and ORDALT.Inventory tracking and kitting of materials.OCONUS and CONUS travel up to 75% for NAVSEA support Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE AA degree in related discipline and nine (9) years related experience; Or High School and eleven (11) years related experience and related advanced certification.Must have soldering experience.Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve goals, meet schedule requirements, and serve customer needs.Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form at multiple levels of management/command.Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work.Ability to develop and review training material, processes, and procedures.Ability to research, read, and follow Technical Orders, directives, regulations, and policies.Ability to research and evaluate situations, provide viable solutions, and execute mission needs.Ability to handle high stress situations and respond appropriately.Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.Potential travel Up to 75%Ability to Obtain/Maintain Secret clearance, (Interim Secret required to start).
