SCA Engineering Technician V

Job Description

Perform CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) testing and repair on RFBU (Radio Frequency Blanking Unit) CCAs. Review documentations, standard operating procedures, and drawings to determine component root cause analysis troubleshooting. Operate hand tools and test equipment. Troubleshooting and problem-solving. Identifying and resolving issues/malfunctions using specialized test equipment and diagnostic tools.

Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment. Installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying various types of equipment, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.

Aids in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data. Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of electromechanical systems. Conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing.

Analyze test results/determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School and five (5) years of related experience; AA Degree in related discipline and three (3) years or more of related experience.
• Able to interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
• Soldering experience.
• Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
• SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
• Must be U.S. citizen.
• DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Soldering experience. Preferably 7711/7721 Solder Certified or J-STD-001 Solder Certified. Experience using hand tools.
