SCA Engineering Technician V

About the role

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician V to support the Infrared and Radio Frequency (IR/RF) Countermeasures Design Branch located at NSWC Crane in Crane, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities such as design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electronic and mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.
• Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Collect, maintain, organize, compile, and manipulate technical data.
• Prepare engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.).
• Perform mathematical calculations per engineering specifications.
• Undertake analysis of data where guidelines are provided.
• Develop project drawings and maintain iPDM.
• Assist engineers in development of plans and drawings.
• Analyze data for creation and edits for technical data packages (TDP).
• Provide reverse engineering models for project development.
• Review specs for drawing packages.
• Create, edit, review and execute Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).

Qualifications

• AA degree in related discipline and nine (9) years related experience; or
• High School and eleven (11) years related experience and related advanced certification.

Potential travel up to 25%. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
