Satellite Facility Operations Intern - Fall 2026

About the role

The Satellite Facility Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience performing a variety of roles within a fast-paced, behind-the-scenes environment, with the chance to have a direct impact on professional soccer in Kansas City. Sporting Kansas City’s collaborative environment full of learning opportunities is designed to help all interns evolve their capabilities, challenge their strengths, and reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Help assist, plan and execute the set up and breakdown of all events
• Help assist in keeping all satellite facilities pristine and to the Sporting KC Standard
• Prepare facilities for internal and external rentals
• Aid SFO team with on-going project lists and general maintenance
• Act as a point of contact for SFO special events, rentals and Sporting KC Programs
• Attend all Sporting Kansas City home games, as well as non-soccer related events
• Always represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner
• Perform other related tasks as assigned

Match Day Responsibilities

• Match Day attendance is determined by events at Satellite Facilities

Essential Functions: Interns will assist, plan, and execute event set up and breakdown, maintain satellite facilities, assist with project lists, and act as a point of contact for special events and rentals. They will also attend all home games and non-soccer events, representing Sporting Kansas City professionally. Interns will perform other related tasks as assigned.

Match Day Responsibilities: Interns will be required to attend events at Satellite Facilities during match days.
