SAP S4/HANA Deployment Director
Location: USA (remote). Candidates must be based within or near Portsmouth, NH, or Houston, TX, or Walkersville, MD to facilitate travel and face-to-face engagements with all US sites.
About the role
We are seeking a high-caliber Deployment Director to lead the deployment of a global SAP S/4HANA template across multiple international sites. This role ensures standardized processes are implemented consistently while accommodating local business and regulatory requirements. This is a high-visibility leadership role driving strategy, execution, and stakeholder alignment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end S/4HANA deployment across sites within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Enforce global template standards and manage essential localization requirements.
- Serve as the main contact for business and program management to report progress and manage expectations.
- Oversee detailed rollout phases including testing, system integration, and vendor coordination.
- Track project risks, apply proactive fixes, and escalate critical issues quickly.
- Support communication plans; drive change impact and end-user training for smooth adoption.
- Supervise data migration, manage the final cutover, and ensure business continuity during hypercare.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading full SAP S4/HANA (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Rollout) lifecycle deployment projects in a global enterprise environment.
- Good understanding of core SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM, etc.) and cross-functional integration.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, multi-country deployments with external implementation partners.
- Deep experience in project governance, PMO methodologies, budget control, and stakeholder communication.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, global matrixed, and culturally diverse organizations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field is required.

Pay
The full-time base annual salary for this position is expected to range between $165,750.00 and $232,050.00. Compensation within this range will be determined by the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and job-related knowledge.
