About the role
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior SAP Project Manager with 7 years of hands-on experience leading complex SAP implementations, rollouts, and transformation initiatives across global enterprises. This role demands a visionary leader who can drive project success, manage cross-functional teams, and deliver high-impact SAP solutions aligned with business goals. Experience with Life Sciences—particularly pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device environments—will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate understands regulatory, operational, and technological nuances and can deliver SAP solutions that drive compliance, innovation, and business value.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project governance, risk mitigation, budget control, and stakeholder engagement.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives including serialization, traceability, and data integrity.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for SAP implementation projects, from initial scope definition to final delivery.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including developers, functional analysts, and infrastructure teams, to achieve project milestones.
- Act as a primary point of contact and build "trusted advisor" relationships with senior leadership, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure timely and successful resolution.
- Monitor project expenditure, resource allocation, and headcount to ensure projects stay within budget and deliverable completion.
- Provide clear, concise, and regular project status updates, including risks, issues, and budget performance, to project sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and implementation methodologies, acting as a subject matter expert for the organization.
- Facilitate workshops and review sessions to document existing business processes and define future-state processes for new software solutions.
- Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members, fostering expertise and promoting best practices.
- Participate in pre-sales activities and contribute to developing new business opportunities within the SAP space.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of SAP project management experience, with at least 1 end-to-end SAP program.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations and integration with other lab/manufacturing systems.
- PMP, ITIL, or SAP Activate certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership.
- Fluent in English.

Pay
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is [annual salary range OR hourly range].
