SAP S/4 Hana Implementation Project Manager

About the role

This position involves leading an SAP S/4HANA implementation for a major enterprise client in Charlotte, focusing on managing the complexities of such a transition.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end project management for an enterprise SAP S/4HANA implementation program
• Builds and maintains detailed project plans, risk registers, dependency maps, and executive status reporting
• Manages cross-functional stakeholders across IT, finance, operations, and senior leadership
• Collaborates with internal teams, system integrators, and third-party vendors to coordinate workstreams
• Drives change management activities to support business readiness and user adoption
• Tracks milestones, surfaces risks early, and keeps the program moving
• Manages project tasks and backlog in Jira with disciplined documentation practices

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of enterprise project management experience
• Direct, hands-on experience managing SAP S/4HANA implementations
• Strong proficiency in Jira for project tracking and backlog management
• Ability to communicate complex program status clearly to executive audiences
• Experience working in Agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
• PMP certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Activate methodology
• Experience managing SAP system integrators or third-party delivery partners
• Change management framework experience (Prosci, ADKAR)
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Microsoft Project
