Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business processes to identify optimization opportunities and draft detailed requirement specifications that align with enterprise architecture standards
  • Define and develop solution architecture, steering customization and integration efforts based on thorough business analysis
  • Design and implement advanced customizations based on ERP platform's capabilities and limitations and develop critical software applications in collaboration with the development team
  • Develop and implement complex integration workflows to connect the ERP system with external applications, while leading large-scale data migration strategies to ensure data integrity
  • Implement advanced performance optimization strategies focused on scalability, reliability, and user experience, while leading compliance initiatives through audits, to uphold security protocols and industry standards
  • Develop detailed documentation for complex ERP customizations and lead training workshops tailored to various user groups, to ensure effective knowledge transfer

Required qualifications

  • Experience in SAP FICO module along with any experience with Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Experience in implementation projects, template built and global roll out projects
  • Strong SAP S/4HANA Finance experience, including SAP GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, plus integration knowledge with Procurement, Operations, and Logistics
  • Experience with global ERP reporting initiatives
  • Lead requirements discovery, fit-gap analysis, and future-state process design for Financial Processes
  • Lead UAT planning/execution, defect triage, training, cutover, and rollout planning for a global user community
  • Proven experience in SAP implementations, detailed process analysis and design, system architecture, technology standards, CSV, GXP and SOX requirements
  • Proven track record of broad industry experience and excellent understanding of complex enterprise IT landscapes and relationships

Preferred qualifications

  • Financial Close Automation: Analyze existing financial close processes (Record to Report, Consolidation, Reconciliation, Reporting) to identify automation opportunities
  • Design and implement automated workflows for journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany processes, and close checklists
  • Drive automation of recurring tasks using tools such as RPA (UiPath, Power Automate), Alteryx, BlackLine, Trintech, SAP BPC/SAC, or other close optimization platforms
  • Support development of smart dashboards and automated reporting solutions to reduce manual effort
  • Process Improvement & Standardization: Lead process mapping workshops to document current and future state financial close processes
  • Define standard operating procedures, internal controls, and best practices for automated close
  • Improve data flow between finance systems (ERP, sub ledgers, consolidation tools)
  • Ensure alignment with global process standards and compliance requirements (SOX, audit, IFRS/GAAP)
  • System Integration & Solution Delivery: Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate automation solutions with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing (SIT, UAT), and deployment activities
  • Troubleshoot automation issues and ensure sustainability through monitoring and enhancements
  • Oversee change management, training, and adoption of new automated processes
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Finance Controllers, FP&A, Shared Services, and Technology teams
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and benefits to senior stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted advisor to finance teams on automation capabilities and best practices

Pay

  • In CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ, VT, MA: $114,000 to $167,000
  • In Washington, DC: $106,000 to $147,500
