About the role
In Accenture Consulting, we work with C-suite executives, leaders, and boards of the world’s leading organizations to help them reinvent every part of their enterprise. Within Accenture's Utilities Practice, we use our deep industry expertise in digital customer engagement, operations, connected energy services, and customer platforms to help retail energy and utility providers with cost effectiveness, revenue assurance, and customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic consulting engagements in energy retail and customer service, focusing on digital transformation, customer experience enhancement, and operational efficiencies.
- Serve as a primary client contact for senior executives, building trusted advisory relationships and ensuring alignment with client business objectives.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve client business performance, drive revenue growth, and support customer-centric transformation initiatives.
- Manage project teams, guiding junior members and ensuring project delivery meets quality, timeline, and budgetary expectations.
- Lead business development activities by identifying new opportunities, crafting proposals, and representing Accenture’s Utilities practice in sales pursuits.
- Actively contribute to thought leadership, staying current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the energy retail sector.
- Drive team development and growth by mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
Travel may be required for this role, ranging from 25% to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Utility Industry, specifically in Customer Service or Customer Transformation project delivery.
- Minimum of 3 years of functional experience with SAP.
- Expertise in Meter to Cash operations, functions, and technologies.
- Expertise in major Customer Transformation and technology implementations (e.g., CIS replacements).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years of work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in an advisory or consulting role.
- Experience designing business processes, leading design thinking workshops, developing business cases, delivering agile projects, developing new operating models, managing talent and change, and co-creating intellectual property.
Skills
- Ability to improvise and adapt to lead clients and teams through change and ambiguity.
- Proven ability to gain client trust and partner effectively with them.

Pay
Compensation varies based on location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Below are the annual salary ranges for this role by location:
- California: $94,400 to $293,800
- Cleveland: $87,400 to $235,000
- Colorado: $94,400 to $253,800
- District of Columbia: $100,500 to $270,300
- Illinois: $87,400 to $253,800
- Maine: $80,400 to $216,200
- Maryland: $94,400 to $253,800
- Massachusetts: $94,400 to $270,300
- Minnesota: $94,400 to $253,800
- New York: $87,400 to $293,800
- New Jersey: $100,500 to $293,800
- Virginia: $87,400 to $270,300
- Washington: $100,500 to $270,300
