About the role
Casa Central’s School Age Program (SAP) provides out-of-school time enrichment programming for children ages 5-12 and their families. The School-Age Program Coordinator oversees the daily operations, supports staff, and ensures compliance with stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Fiscal Management: Support with budget planning, preparation, and management; monitor grant/contract budgets; ensure recovery of revenue; and comply with funder guidelines.
- Participant Service Delivery: Orient, welcome, and integrate new children and families; lead recruitment and enrollment efforts; assist in classrooms and with transportation; review child assessments; support parent workshops; and plan special events.
- Performance & Quality Management: Implement agency mission, philosophy, and core values; adhere to agency policy; engage in PQI structure and process; and oversee the completion of reports and evaluations.
- Personnel Supervision & Team Leadership: Cultivate a professional work environment; manage staff selection, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation; develop and sustain program meeting schedules; and provide coaching and training.
- Program Operations: Lead DCFS relicensing, ExceleRate Illinois renewal, COA reaccreditation, and audit/monitoring visits; ensure participant and program-level files are compliant; and maintain record-keeping systems.
- Stakeholder Relationships & Partnerships: Nurturing positive relationships with agency staff and external stakeholders; maintain liaison with partner schools; and formulate reports and communication pieces.
- Administrative Tasks: Support Director with programmatic reports and data compilation; process CCAP paperwork; and provide programming and clerical support.
- Performance & Quality Management: Foster a professional and respectful work environment; implement agency mission, philosophy, and core values; and adhere to agency policy.
Requirements
- A minimum of an associate degree from an accredited college or university in child development or early childhood education; or B.A. in Education; Early Childhood Education; Child Development.
- At least 750 clock hours of experience in a licensed day care center or a license exempt school-age child care program.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

- Knowledge of online database systems.

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, year-round position; work until 6pm most evenings.
