About the role
This role is part of EY’s SAP practice, which helps clients unlock business value through integrated technology platforms. We offer capabilities in Supply Chain, FICO, BPC, Data & Analytics, Customer, Tech/Arch, and SuccessFactors to drive operational efficiency and performance. As a Staff 2 in our SAP practice, you will participate in the Consultant Development Program (CDP), a two-year program designed to build technical competency, consulting fundamentals, and project delivery experience.
You will engage with business stakeholders to understand operating models, processes, and needs—then collaborate with delivery teams to build, test, and validate solutions. You’ll help translate business requirements into system functionality, support technology implementations, and assess how effectively those solutions meet client needs.
Responsibilities
- Engaging in working sessions with clients to define, validate, and deliver solution components.
- Analyzing data to support recommendations and solution design.
- Documenting business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
- Supporting configuration or integration across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Assisting with test planning, execution, and issue resolution.
- Generating system reports and supporting user training and adoption.
Regular travel may be required to meet client needs.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, MIS, or related field.
- 1 - 2 years of relevant professional experience, internship experience supporting enterprise technology, ERP, business process transformation, or systems implementation initiatives.
- Understanding of business processes in one or more areas such as Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, or Data & Analytics.
- Familiarity with the systems development lifecycle (SDLC), requirements gathering, testing methodologies, and solution delivery processes.
- Technical skills in application functional design.
- Knowledge of the system development lifecycle is crucial for successful project execution.
- Ability to define, analyze, and map technology business requirements.
- Proficiency in conducting technological cost-benefit analysis.
- Strong relationship-building skills to foster client trust and value.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong complex problem-solving skills.
- Critical thinking abilities for informed decision-making.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 80%.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or other enterprise resource planning platforms.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into functional or technical specifications.
- SAP certification or pursuit of an SAP certification in a relevant functional or technical area.
- A demonstrated interest in working in consulting as reflected in relevant course work, organizational involvement, or internships.
- Experience with client engagement and project management.
- Ability to drive projects to completion and manage multiple competing priorities in a demanding environment.
- Familiarity with technological trends and their application in business contexts.
- Skills in data analysis and interpretation for informed decision-making.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $76,600 to $126,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $91,800 to $143,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
