Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all tanks, equipment, facility utensils, hoses, drums, totes, filling equipment, and work areas according to company sanitation procedures.
• Perform basic maintenance of cleaning equipment to ensure tools are available for ongoing use.
• Identify and rectify food safety concerns.
• Maintain upkeep inside and outside of the facility, including floors, drains, wash areas, and equipment.
• Empty waste during shifts and perform other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to the Master Sanitation Cleaning Schedule (weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.).

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow standard procedures and GMPs.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools, as well as high-pressure cleaning equipment.
• Willingness to work in a wet environment and handle chemicals.
• Willingness to work some weekends and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Good writing and reading skills, with the ability to read and speak basic English.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Sitting, walking, standing, stooping, and bending.
• Typing on a computer keyboard and hearing ordinary speech.
• Climbing stairs and ladders.
• Exposure to bumping, slipping, falling objects, or being hit by powered industrial vehicles.
• Bending, twisting, and lifting.
• Potential eye injury from cleaning chemical usage and risk of falls.
• Exposure to chemicals, hand and power tool injuries, fluorescent lights, and extreme climate variations.
