Sanitation Worker PRN

About the role

Research Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is a 585+ bed hospital offering a wide range of medical and health clinic services, including women's services, emergency room, trauma center, Stroke Center, walk-in clinic, orthopedics across three Kansas City locations, Chest Pain Center, Level I Trauma Center, Breast Care Center, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs, Primary Stroke Center, and is one of 10 HCA Midwest Health hospitals in Kansas City and surrounding areas. The facility also includes Research Psychiatric Center, a 95+ bed facility providing acute inpatient, day treatment, and community-based outpatient behavioral healthcare for adolescents, adults, and seniors. The center is seeking a PRN Sanitation and Stocking Worker to support food and nutrition services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper storage of food and non-food received.
• Maintain the storage area in a clean and orderly manner according to regulatory guidelines and document corrective action if needed.
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels.
• Stock the cafeteria and service areas with required service ware and food items to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operation.
• Assist with monthly inventory, daily orders and maintaining all kitchen utensils, equipment and physical surfaces in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Assist with tray line, delivery of food and late tray carts to the nursing areas daily.
• Dishwashing and other sanitation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Food Handlers Permit must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Experience in a hospital setting desirable.
