Responsibilities
- Follow sanitation checklist and best practices to complete regular, thorough cleaning of assigned areas (restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, entrances, locker rooms, offices, laboratory), and maintain master sanitation schedule
- Maintain proper inventory by stocking cleaning supplies, paper goods, chemicals and cleaning equipment
- Monitor pest traps and activity on a weekly basis, and proactively report any signs of infestations to leadership
- Monitor and report all product protection issues and maintenance needs as they arise
- Practice appropriate safety procedures when performing work assignments, and support clean-up in the event of an accident or injury on company property
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- At least 18 years of age
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Manufacturing experience, with strong preference for experience in a food manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lift up to 50 pounds; anything over this weight will require team lifting techniques or the use of mechanical lifting devices
- Work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
- 6+ hours per shift Sit, stoop, reach above shoulders, climb and work off ladder/stairs, and perform fine manipulation
- Bend, crouch, and kneel for 6+ hours per shift
- Stand, walk, perform simple grasping, and push/pull for 8+ hours per shift
- Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken or written word and distinguish objects or equipment visually
