Responsibilities
- Disassembles, cleans, and sanitizes equipment per RSC guidelines to maintain FDA standards in the plant.
- Requests, receives, delivers, secures, and maintains products and materials required for the job.
- Operates and maintains machinery, equipment, and tools safely and proficiently according to guidelines and instructions.
- Reads and understands sanitation specifications established by RSC and follows them with supervision.
- Performs other clean-up activities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Reassembles plant machinery to prepare for each day’s production.
- Ensures the plant floor is 5S compliant before each production day.
- Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
- Completes and follows FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support food safety and quality objectives.
- Promptly reports and takes appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor.
- Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without accommodation.
- Experience in an industrial cleaning environment.
- Ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend, and lift overhead.
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
- A passion for cleaning.
Work Environment
- Safety First: Protective gear provided; GMP training on day one with daily safety tips.
- Surroundings: Work alongside equipment such as automated packing machines, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and chocolate candy banks/steels.
- Active & Engaging Work: On your feet for extended periods, moving around, climbing ladders, or lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable Climate: Climate-controlled environment in most roles.
