About the role

Supervise employees engaged in sanitation activities to meet company policies, OSHA regulations, and legal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, assign, and monitor work to meet business needs.
  • Ensure effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action, and performance management.
  • Train and instruct employees in sanitation standards, GMPs, SSOPs, and objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation and enforcement of sanitation policies.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving them.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities and prevent sanitation-related issues.
  • Conduct audits of sanitation and CIP processes to ensure compliance with SSOPs.
  • Recommend improvements to sanitation methods, equipment, and product quality.
  • Manage vendor relationships for chemicals and other necessary supplies.
  • Develop, implement, and improve sanitation programs, policies, and KPIs.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Follow DFA's GMPs and adhere to corporate regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in food science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2 to 5 years of sanitation or related experience, preferably with leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards, GMPs, and SSOPs.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies.
  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Basic understanding of technical documents, dilutions, percentages, and mathematical formulas.
