Starting pay: $21.00/hr. for Sanitation Lead I, plus a shift differential for 3rd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.

Schedule

3rd shift: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM. Weekend work may be required as needed.

About the Role

Follows procedures and SOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and/or other non-routine issues.

Responsibilities

  • Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment
  • Completes required reporting to reflect activity
  • Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered
  • Familiarity and understanding of testing for chemical concentrations
  • Familiarity with COP and CIP systems
  • Familiarity with refractometers is a plus

Requirements

  • Must be capable of being productive on third-shift scheduling
  • Must have industrial food sanitation experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; at least six months of experience in a sanitation production environment preferred
  • Supervisory skills are desired
  • Must have some Microsoft Office skills
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in basic English; Spanish is a plus

Physical Demands

  • Must be capable of ascending or descending stairs in multi-level facilities
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

  • Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid, and vary in temperature (refrigerated, ambient, or warm depending on the facility and season)
