Sanitation Lead

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as described and assigned by the department supervisor/manager
• Operate and help maintain equipment within their assigned area
• Aid in reporting problem situations and making recommendations to Supervisor to enhance production efficiency
• Work as a team player to assist with on-the-job training and employee development
• Recognize potential problems and coach employees or make recommendations to Supervisor for further action
• Follow Company’s GMP’s, SOP’s, Safety, Plant rules, other policies and codes of conduct
• Verify accuracy of order/invoice/manifests, complete cycle counts, and inventory control procedures to ensure accurate record keeping and product control
• Strive to meet the needs of both internal and external customers

Qualifications

• Required to work in a cold, damp environment
• Must have experience in leadership capacity in a manufacturing/food production environment
• Basic oral and written communication skills required
• Ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Ability to lift and move 50-75 pounds (with assistance when required)
• Available to work a Monday - Friday schedule, with weekend work dictated by production needs
• Fork-lift/tow motor experience preferred
• Experience with Oracle systems preferred
