Sanitation Lead

Responsibilities

• Directs team in a safe and proficient manner to complete tasks.
• Reviews production schedule and collaborates with leadership to prioritize sanitation tasks.
• Establishes and adjusts work assignments to meet production schedules.
• Assists Production Operators with run procedures such as end line clearance, beginning line clearance, cleaning, and reassembly of machine parts.
• Operates cleaning machinery as assigned by supervisor, following proper training.
• Communicates with Supervisor(s) and Leads to support other departments’ activities.
• Aids in machine setups; understands and complies with cGMP guidelines for specific products.
• Reads and understands written instructions, including SOPs, cGMPs, work instructions, forms, and the Thorne Research Employee Handbook.
• Follows instructions closely, both verbally and in writing, and communicates effectively with supervisors and colleagues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior lead and manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Medical qualification to work with respiratory protection (half-mask or full-air respirator).
• Sufficient range of motion for arm and hand movements.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders.
• Physical stamina to move and lift up to 55 pounds.
• Ability to work in a moderate noise level environment.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage positively with others.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measurement used in the Production Department.

Skills

• Knowledge of computers and software required for job responsibilities.
• Use of a hand calculator for basic math calculations.
• Understanding of cGMP guidelines for specific products.

$26.00 - $28.25 per hour
