Responsibilities
- Directs team in a safe and proficient manner to complete tasks.
- Reviews production schedule and collaborates with leadership to prioritize sanitation tasks.
- Establishes and adjusts work assignments to meet production schedules.
- Assists Production Operators with run procedures such as end line clearance, beginning line clearance, cleaning, and reassembly of machine parts.
- Operates cleaning machinery as assigned by supervisor, following proper training.
- Communicates with Supervisor(s) and Leads to support other departments’ activities.
- Aids in machine setups; understands and complies with cGMP guidelines for specific products.
- Reads and understands written instructions, including SOPs, cGMPs, work instructions, forms, and the Thorne Research Employee Handbook.
- Follows instructions closely, both verbally and in writing, and communicates effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior lead and manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Medical qualification to work with respiratory protection (half-mask or full-air respirator).
- Sufficient range of motion for arm and hand movements.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders.
- Physical stamina to move and lift up to 55 pounds.
- Ability to work in a moderate noise level environment.
Qualifications
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage positively with others.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measurement used in the Production Department.
Skills
- Knowledge of computers and software required for job responsibilities.
- Use of a hand calculator for basic math calculations.
- Understanding of cGMP guidelines for specific products.
