Sanitation Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of sanitation employees, including task assignments and daily schedules
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, feedback, or corrective action as needed
• Oversee and participate in the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, machinery, utensils, and facility surfaces
• Ensure sanitation activities follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company policies
• Ensure proper use, handling, dilution, and storage of cleaning chemicals
• Operate sanitation and production equipment as required
• Follow and enforce PPE, color-coding, and zone-based sanitation procedures
• Perform quality control checks in assigned areas
• Work safely around food allergens including wheat, dairy, eggs, and tree nuts
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous sanitation and/or dishwashing experience required
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of chemical concentrations and sanitation best practices
• Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment with allergens
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness
• Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with a team
