Second shift position.
Responsibilities
- Clean parts using the sandblast booth, standalone sandblasters, and parts washer.
- Paint parts as needed.
- Work as an Assembler when needed.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, and pictures.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Foster a respectful, team-oriented work environment.
- Occasionally perform truck runs and scrap runs.
- May be asked to work overtime at short notice.
Requirements
- Use of safety glasses, shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, forced air respirator hood, face shield, dust mask, respirator, rubber gloves, and other PPE as required.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, operating/maintenance/work instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to prepare routine reports and paperwork.
- Effective communication with other employees.
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (highlighting and editing cells).
- Ability to learn basic functions of Inventory & Manufacturing software.
- Must obtain lift equipment and crane operator’s certification upon hire (some crane & forklift experience preferred).
- Ability to operate small hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, cranes, lift equipment, and tool room machines.
