SAM Operator 1st Shift (8:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday) $26.00/hr.

About the role

We are currently seeking a 1st Shift SAM Operator to join our team in New Bedford, MA. This role reports to the Supervisor and is responsible for setting up, operating, inspecting, and adjusting large machinery.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend production Standard Work, all safety procedures, and Maintenance instructions.
• Operate and observe machinery during production.
• Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality to customer requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent education and experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Must have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
• Physical requirements: a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day. Must be capable of lifting, pulling, or pushing at least 50 lbs.
• Maintain safe operation as required by job task. Keep working area neat and orderly. Must be willing to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Within 3 months, complete any required training.
• Develop relationships within the department.
• Be well-versed in priorities and the importance of your role to daily operations.

Pay

A good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $26.00 per hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
