About the role
Due to our continued growth, ACE Recycling & Disposal is seeking Rear Load Drivers to join our team serving the Salt Lake County area.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a rear-load garbage truck and complete assigned collection routes in a timely manner.
- Collect and transport waste and recyclable materials in accordance with company policies and all applicable regulations.
- Follow daily route schedules while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, service, and efficiency.
- Communicate and work closely with Dispatch and Supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Interact with customers and the public in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Conduct all activities according to the delivery and collection schedule and all relevant company policies.
Requirements
- Must hold a current Class A or Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
- Must have 6 months minimum of driving commercial vehicle experience.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to operate a mobile tablet to communicate with supervisor or Dispatch (sending messages, attaching photos, concerns on route interruptions).
- Ability to push, pull, sit, stand, walk, and meet other physical requirements as necessary to complete daily duties.
Skills
- Ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read and write to maintain daily records.
Pay
Starting Pay: $24.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
Schedule
Start Time: 6:00 a.m.
