Seasonal CDL Drivers (Salt Lake County Area)

About the role

Seasonal CDL Drivers needed until September 30th, 2026. Multiple positions available. This program delivers containers to neighborhoods in Salt Lake County to dispose of bulky items that will not fit in garbage cans.

Drivers will operate 26,000 lb hook-lift trucks in residential neighborhoods to load and haul filled containers to the nearest dumping facility. Responsibilities include securing loads, covering/uncovering containers, and performing daily DOT inspections on vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate 26,000 lb hook-lift trucks in residential areas
• Load and haul filled containers to dumping facilities
• Secure loads and cover containers before entering roadways
• Uncover containers at dumping facilities
• Perform daily DOT inspections on vehicles and attached equipment
• Follow all laws regarding waste transportation
• Work individually or as part of a team
• Drive and operate heavy equipment safely

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen (employer-paid)
• Submit to random DOT drug & alcohol testing during employment
• Pass a pre-hire screening through the FMSCA Clearinghouse (employer-paid)
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 70 pounds
• Ability to climb into and out of equipment regularly throughout the day

Pay

$26.32 per hour, up to 40 hours per week.
