Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT, DFA Commercial Motor Vehicle, and safety policies
• Perform strenuous tasks such as lifting, connecting and disconnecting hoses, and climbing ladders
• Take quality control samples at farms and measure milk loaded into trailers
• Minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumption
• Communicate effectively with producers, customers, and employees
• Represent DFA positively and professionally

Licensing and Certification

• Must have a Class A CDL in state of residence
• Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement and doubles/triples endorsement
• No automatic restrictions due to past DUI convictions within the last three years

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• One year of CDL A driving experience is required

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements
• MVR and DOT requirements must be met
• Pre-employment background checks are necessary
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to work independently and perform basic math and reading/writing skills
