About the role
This is an entry-level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieving our sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge, and basic part knowledge. The role also involves in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes. Position can be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include providing an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls, achieving personal sales goals and helping the store achieve its sales goals, and providing DIY services such as battery installation and testing. The role is also responsible for maintaining store product and operational standards and inventory processes, including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock.

Requirements
The role requires basic driving and navigation ability, friendly communication, ability to locate and stock parts, safety knowledge and skills, and operating inventory systems and store equipment.

Qualifications
The role requires the ability to speak and write English, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management. The ability to read and interpret documents, use basic math accurately, and work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed is also required.

Skills
Prior experience that sets a salesperson up for success includes 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of the job include walking or standing, talking and hearing, and using hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee must also be able to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics include working inside, with occasional exposure to various weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
