About the role

This is an entry-level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieving our sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge, and basic part knowledge. The role also involves in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes. Position can be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include providing excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls, achieving personal sales goals, and helping the store achieve its sales goals. Additionally, the role involves providing DIY services, maintaining store product and operational standards, and being responsible for inventory processes.

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls

• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.

• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.

Secondary responsibilities include store cleanliness, general stocking, and safely delivering parts to customers as needed.

Requirements

The role requires basic driving and navigation ability, ability to use delivery board system, friendly communication, ability to locate and stock parts, safety knowledge and skills, operating inventory systems and store equipment, and parts and automotive system knowledge skills.

Skills

The role requires the ability to speak and write English, communicate effectively, read and interpret documents, and use basic math accurately. Prior experience in a diverse retail environment is also preferred.

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)

Qualifications

Prior experience that sets a salesperson up for success includes 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of the job include walking or standing, talking and hearing, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics include working inside, occasionally being outside and exposed to various weather conditions, and being exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
