About the Section
The primary mission of NC Emergency Management's Administration Section is to provide effective and efficient support functions for the Division. These functions include Grant Administration, Accounts Payable, Budget, Human Resources, Information Technology, Application Development, Geographic Information Systems, and other support functions.
About the Position
This position assists the Application Development Team with support of several Salesforce based grants management systems. It will focus on supporting end users with Salesforce technical support, including supporting grant distribution, compliance tracking, and creating reports. During disasters and state emergencies when supplemental staffing is needed in the State Emergency Operations Center, this position will assist the Incident Management Team with other application support tasks.
Management Preferences
- Experience with Salesforce platforms, including system workflows, user account management, object configuration, security, backups and other best practices
- Experience with Salesforce system administration, including user access, permission sets, roles, and platform security
- Engage with end users to collect requirements for bug fixes and system enhancements
- Translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring high availability that align with industry best practices
- Provide outstanding customer service and technical support to end users
Minimum Education and Experience
Associate degree in Computer Science or an IT related field; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of experience in the field of technology related to the position's role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay and Schedule
Recruitment Range: $56,772.00 - $65,000.00. This position will be 100% in-person for at least the first 90 days. After that, it may be eligible to work virtually up to one day a week. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, retirement, and health insurance.
